For the City of Olympia, our personnel completed
engineering-design services for the planned removal and
upgrade of emergency-generator fueling facilities at six
sewer-pumping stations. For this project, we prepared
design drawings, contractor bid specifications,
engineering cost-estimates, bid-review services, and field-
construction observation for the removal/closure of
underground fuel storage tank systems and the installation
of replacement aboveground storage tanks. Typical
system components included double-walled tanks with
ballistic-grade concrete covers, double-wall piping for

product lines, anti-siphon valves, and sight-tube monitoring systems. The tank-replacement
program was designed and constructed to meet the EPA's tank regulations and the
December 1998 UST deadline.
