UST Services, Multiple Fire Stations
Bellevue, Washington

Since 1993, G-Logics personnel has provided design specifications for the removal and
installation of UST fueling facilities at the City of Bellevue's various fire stations, 911 centers,
sewer-lift stations, and their new City Hall building. Logistics were especially difficult, as
many of the existing systems were found to have leaked, and tank locations often were

directly in the path of emergency vehicles. Our personnel
identified cleanup requirements (for removed systems) and
provided complete new fueling facility designs, engineering
cost estimates, and bid specifications for the new UST
systems. Tank removal specifications also included
requirements for several soil-remediation alternatives. New
installations included diesel and gasoline cardlock-fueling
systems for eight fire stations as well as the Bellevue
Municipal Golf Course. Our personnel assisted with

locating the fuel systems and assisted the city with evaluating components including tank, piping, dispensers, pumps, access vaults, leak detection methods, and vapor-recovery systems. We also provided construction schedules and bid specifications, and assisted in review of construction bids. During construction, our personnel assisted the city with construction monitoring and managed the preparation of as-built drawings on several sites. The design process averaged four to six weeks per site, with minimal disruption to emergency-facility operations during construction.
