Regulatory Compliance and Expert Witness
Bremerton, Washington

comp1a

In 2000, a local environmental attorney retained
G-Logics
to assist with regulatory compliance and
remediation issues at a property owned and
operated by a private party. Prior to retaining
G-Logics
services at this property, the Bremerton-
Kitsap County Health District (BKCHD) had
contended that the owner should address several
county health department issues. Several of these
issues were addressed in a timely manner.
However, in July 2000, BKCHD notified the property
owner that his property allegedly violated solid waste

regulations due to contaminated soil found on the subject property. As a result of this
notification, the property owner removed contaminated soil from his facility. Following this
cleanup effort, BKCHD conducted soil sampling on the subject property with the owner's
consent and contended that the property had not been remediated to their expectations.

G-Logics' principal, Mr. Rory Galloway, provided
expert witness services during trial proceedings
with regard to the site cleanup requirements
under the Washington Department of Ecology
solid-waste regulations and the Model Toxics
Control Act (site cleanup) regulations.

Based on Mr. Galloway's testimony, the trial judge
found the property owner did not violate solid-
waste regulations on the property as alleged by the
BKCHD, and the BKCHD had no grounds for

further claims against the property owner. G-Logics also has been requested by our client to develop a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan that highlights Best Management Practices necessary for discharging stormwater from an industrial facility of this type.
